Once going out of the airport, take a Shirout NESCHER (a shared taxi van) to Notre Dame Centre of Jerusalem (located opposite to New gate). The cost is around 50 NIS per person.
Once there, you have two solutions:
either you call an Arabic taxi and ask “Ecce Homo Convent”
or you walk (about 15 minutes)
If you decide to walk :
Walk down the street toward Damascus Gate (following the remparts of the Old City located on your right).
Go down the stairs which lead to Damascus Gate and walk through the gate in order to enter into the Old City.
Walk down the street in the sooks (markets)
When you arrive at an intercession, choose the left street and go on walking down.
At the next and bigger intercession, turn left in Via Dolorosa (the Austrian Hospice is standing at the corner).
Walk up Via Dolorosa until number 41, on the left side of the street (just before the Flagellation Convent).
Notes:
Ecce Homo Convent is situated in the heart of the Old City, between Damascus Gate and Lion's Gate, number 41 of the Via Dolorosa.
This street is accessible to the cars and the taxis, but according to speficic rules. (The access is forbidden on Fridays from 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM and on Sundays all day.)
